2013-14 FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
of the Contemporary Freudian Society-DC
Begins October 12th
Meetings are held one Saturday per month from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon (October- May). Tuition is $75.00 per year. Clinicians and students in psychology, social work, and psychiatry are invited to apply. At the monthly meetings CFS analysts present a wide range of detailed clinical material in a case conference format. As the analysts discuss their decisions about what to address in the clinical hour, Fellows will learn to listen from multiple points of view and at many levels. The clinical work is informed by the basic principles of Freud’s profound discoveries, as well as Post-Freudian theoretical perspectives, including ego psychology, object relations, attachment theory, infant observation, and neurobiology.
The Fellowship Program also includes invitations to attend all CFS Scientific Programs in Washington and New York. Each Fellow is also offered a CFS mentor who will be available to discuss the possibility of a career in psychoanalysis.
