Announcements & Events

Announcements are on the home page. The Regional Calendar combines Google Calendars maintained by each of the participating societies into a single point of reference.

We can post much more than words.

We can add photos, text documents (Word documents or PDF’s — think about training brochures, conference flyers, and papers) or even audio or video (allowing talks to reach a wider audience).

It’s much easier than you’d think. Video from out there in the world, e.g., youtube, etc is trivially easy to add.

    Mike,
I was able to change password and update profile on the second go around. Navigation from the signin page to the site takes some getting used to and my system keeps throwing up hurdles. I’ll catch on.
Do members really need to sign-in? Only to post announcements, right? Sally

  • I was able to upload the WSPP header along with my announcement, but I don’t know how to get the header located at the top of the announcement. When I previewed it, it just showed the name of the .gif file on the bottom of the announcement. The header would look pretty silly at the bottom, but I don’t know how to place it. I was unable to click and drag it. Is there a way to preview the appearance and location of the uploaded files as well? (If we can’t see them until they are posted, is there a way to delete them if they look right - while keeping the rest of the announcement intact?)

    Thank you.
    Lynn.
